Dr Xavier Garí, a lecturer in history at the Faculty of Humanities recently presented his latest book on the History of the Church: “Sisters Hospitallers in Catalonia and Aragon (1970-2016)” published by Ediciones Mapa, Barcelona.

On the occasion of the incorporation of the Canonical Province that covered the territory of Catalonia and Aragon into a new united Province of Spain, the former provincial general of the Congregation in the time of Pope John Paul II asked Xavier Garí to record the history of this Province so that the past was not lost. 

Documents, files, minutes, annals and oral history sources allowed this specialist in the History of Peace and Religions and the Church to create a unique text.  This same text includes the history of this province, which included territory in the Americas and in the East.
