Dr Marta Trapero has joined the National Board of Governors for the Prevention of Smoking
The lecturer represents the Association for Health Economics on this Board.
Dr Marta Trapero, director of the Research Institute for Evaluation and Public Policies (IRAPP) at UIC Barcelona was named a spokesperson for the new Spanish National Board of Governors for the Prevention of Smoking (CNPT) on 9 April. In her new position as spokesperson, she represents the Association for Health Economics.
The CNPT is an organisation that brings together the movement for the prevention of smoking in Spain that has carried out educational and public information activities throughout its existence, and also cooperates with the healthcare authorities to improve the health of citizens.
This organisation has been awarded for its work on the prevention and control of smoking such as the WHO Award for the best work on preventing smoking in Europe, and the Order for Civil Merit for Health.
