Dr Montserrat Nebrera was the person chosen to give the opening talk at the 2nd Catalan Congress of Nursing Managers. 

In her speech, entitled "La política y la enfermería tienen mucho que ver” [Politics and nursing have much in common], she analysed the similarities between the way nurses care for people and how politicians care for their cities. 

“Let us remember the famous saying that every man is an island, and that what happens to one individual is what happens to the community”, she explained.
