Enrique Rovira-Beleta, lecturer in the subject of accessibility and the Postgraduate Degree in Accessibility and Design for All at UIC Barcelona's School of Architecture, led a round table discussion on the topic of unnoticed accessibility.
The event was organised by ADFILPA (Association for the Physically Disabled of La Palma) in cooperation with the Spanish National Organisation for the Blind (ONCE) and the Island Council. It took place at ONCE headquarters in Santa Cruz de La Palma on 26 July 2016. During the discussion, Professor Rovira-Beleta explained the concept of "unnoticed accessibility" and specifically analysed issues relating to La Palma.
The session was attended by government representatives and specialists from departments of infrastructure and heritage at island institutions. Other attendees included Miguel Ángel Rodríguez and Patricia Acosta, chairman and construction supervisor, respectively, at ADFILPA.
