The Faculty of Communication Sciences receives 16 students from Iona College, an American university

Between 3 of October and 6 November, 16 students from Iona College (New York) will be studying at the Faculty of Communication Sciences due to an exchange programme signed by the two universities.  This is the second group of American students from Iona College who have taken communication studies at UIC Barcelona.

During the five-week programme, students are taught subjects entitled "Contemporary History of Spain", "Political and Cultural Thought" and "Art and Architecture in Barcelona". Cultural visits are also programmed during their stay in Barcelona. These include visits to the Sagrada Familia, Barcelona Cathedral, the Sant Pau Hospital, the Catalan National Art Museum, the Picasso Museum, and the Joan Miró Foundation, as well as excursions to Girona, Figueres and Tarragona.  

UIC Barcelona and Iona College New York offer double degree programmes in Journalism and Advertising and Public Relations.
