The Faculty of Education at UIC Barcelona hosts the 4th edition of the Richmond Spring Sessions
On Saturday 9 April the 4th edition of the Richmond Spring Sessions took place at UIC Barcelona’s Faculty of Education. The event, which focused on the application of dynamic teaching, brought together more than one hundred English teachers and future English teachers.
This event, an initiative set up by the Richmond / Santillana publishing company, first took place at UIC Barcelona four years ago and a type of continuing education for primary and secondary English teachers and future English teachers.
This year the event aimed to demonstrate the communicative skills that facilitate English learning. The sessions began with a play put on by the Big Barcelona Improv Group, which was described by third year Primary Education student Rebecca Prieto as follows: “The play demonstrated different methodologies to undertake good communication through the use of improvisation”.
The participants, as well as attending the play, depending on whether they are involved in primary or secondary education, had the opportunity to participate in two didactic workshops, given by teachers who are native speakers of English.
