The event, which was attended by more than 1.000 lawyers from around the world, brought together around 600 Law professionals in order to analyse the new trends in the sector. Núria Meseguer, in charge of communications for the Faculty of Law and Antonio Gómez-Reino, Director of DIR-COM at UIC Barcelona, both participated in the event.
The Legal Management Forum is the largest annual event in Spain focusing on innovation in legal services. The event was organised by Wolters Kluwer, the top provider of legal information in continental Europe, and an association called Inkietos. The main sponsors for the event were Banco Santander and Mutua Madrileña.
The event, which took place in the auditorium of the mutual Madrileña building, was opened by Rafael Catalá, the Minister for Justice. Throughout the day issues were discussed including innovation, the pricing policy for legal services, the role of lawyers in companies, knowledge management, the fusion of legal firms, bockchain technology, generation Z, communication management and the reputation of firms or cybersecurity.
The participants included lawyers from the main forms in the state as well as international firms. The closing speech was given by Rosalina Díaz, President of Wolters Kluwer Spain, and Emilio Martínez, President of Inkietos, who invited everyone to the next edition of the Legal Management Forum in 2017.
