Fashion and Trends Communication students visit the headquarters of Gratacós 1940

A group of students from the subject Fashion and Trends Communication recently paid a visit to the headquarters of Gratacós 1940 in Barcelona.

The students of the subject, taught by the vice-dean of the Faculty of Communication Sciences, Elisa Regadera, had the opportunity to hear the story of the family textile company in situ. According to the lecturer, “it was very interesting to learn first-hand about the international expansion and new phase introduced by the company, which produces everything in-house -something quite exceptional in this sector- and sells its products in 40 countries”.

The session, which was held in the company’s flagship store, was led by Aida Molano, PR & Social Media Manager at Gratacós 1940, who discussed the company’s current partnerships with fashion design schools in Barcelona.

Molano spoke about how the company supports activities with designers and sector professionals through the initiative Designers Fashion Experiences. This activity takes place in the Gratacós showroom and features designers eager to engage students and industry professionals in a stimulating conversation about the company they head. It was in one of these encounters that a number of students from the Faculty of Communication Sciences took part, as a complement to the subject Fashion and Trends Communication.
