Flexbrick, a ceramic textile designed by Vicente Sarrablo, to feature at the BAU Munich 2017 trade fair

From 16-21 January, Flexbrick ceramic paving will once again have its own stand at the BAU Munich 2017 international trade fair, one of Europe's most reputed trade fairs in the architecture, materials and construction system sector.

The purpose of taking part in the BAU is to provide event-goers a first-hand look at the characteristics and constructive possibilities of this ceramic textile.

Flexbrick is an industrialised construction system that combines technological innovation with traditional materials and makes it possible to use small pieces to carry out large-scale projects. This ceramic textile was co-developed by Piera Ecocerámica, Cerámica Malpesa and Dr Vicente Sarrablo, creator and director of the project.

Dr Vicente Sarrablo is director of the Technical Area and professor of Construction at the School of Architecture, as well as director of Spain's first ASCER Ceramics Chair, which was created in 2004 to spark the students' creative imagination and find new formats and new applications for ceramic materials.
