Fourth-year Law students simulate negotiations at the PwC offices

Dr Di Ciommo organised a session as part of her subject that featured Catalan member of parliament Roger Montañola.

For one afternoon, fourth-year Law students changed their habitual classroom for the Barcelona offices of one of the world’s big four: PwC. The objective was to simulate negotiations in a real business setting as part of the subject Negotiation Tactics, taught by Dr Tiziana Di Ciommo.

This markedly practical session also featured Roger Montañola, a member of the Catalan Parliament, who is also president of Twenty50 and regularly appears on the TV channels TVE and 8TV.

According to lecturer Di Ciommo, the experience “was highly positive, in terms of both participation and learning”, as the students were able to get a close-up look at the working environment of a company like PwC, a firm that specialises in auditing, tax and legal advice, consulting and transactions, with offices in 157 countries and a staff of over 223,000 workers.
