A group of third year Pre-Primary Education students demonstrate the most fun side of Autumn

Ten girls from Pre-Primary Education put on a play entitled “La castañera” [The Chestnut Seller] for three hundred boys and girls from the La Farga Pre-Primary school.

The play, an adaptation of the popular story La castañera, took place as part of the celebrations for All Saints Day. In the words of Carmen Arrufat, Teaching Coordinator at La Farga Pre-Primary school, “theatre and storytelling are educational tools that help us to bring the world of literature and traditions closer to children and helps us to work on the various areas of the curriculum from an overarching perspective”.

The scenography, wardrobe and musical repertoire were prepared by students from the taking a subject called “Artistic Expression” in the Faculty of Education. These students were Andrea Álamo, Lorena Corredor, Clara Cucurull, Claudia Edo, Sofía Gijón, Marta López, Carlota Oliver, Victoria Sancho, Marta Sierra, Ana Torres and Marta Garrido, who played the chestnut seller.

Around three hundred boys and girls were able to enjoy this play, as well as some of their parents.
