How do you write a good CV? The first step to excelling in a recruitment process

The work placement coordinator at the faculty, Reyes Alcón, gave a lecture which focused on how to go about writing a good CV

Many students in the Faculty of Law are starting to be aware of the ins and outs of a recruitment process. Job interviews, knowledge tests and long waiting times before getting a response. But before they can get there, they have to lay out their best qualities in a curriculum vitae (CV).

The faculty, well aware of how important it is to have a good CV, gave a session aiming to show the students how to write a CV correctly and to become familiar with the document which will be very important in the near future for the students.

“The students came to the session with a draft CV written and after receiving a number of recommendations and guidelines, they swapped their CVs and made appropriate corrections to their classmates’ CVs”, as the work placement coordinator, Reyes Alcón, explained.

After the session, the students were able to have their CV checked by the work placement coordination team in the Faculty of Law in order to have them ready for the University-Business Day last week.
