Lecturer vacancy announced. Another step in attracting talent
The Faculty of Humanities announced it was seeking a cultural economics lecturer for the Master's Degree in Cultural Management. This is UIC Barcelona's third advertised vacancy for teaching and research staff this year.
Several candidates from abroad with extensive research track records have applied for the position. The selection process has been handled by an external panel made up of professors Antonio Monegal from the Pompeu Fabra University and Joaquim Nadal from the University of Girona. The panel has selected three final candidates from Burgundy School of Business, the Federal University of Rio Grande do Sul and the Universidad Nebrija. The lecturer chosen to form part of the university teaching staff will be announced shortly.
The aim of this type of selection process for this position is threefold. First, to attract talent in the field of cultural management. Second, to position the master's degree with research indicators in line with European standards. Third, to achieve internationally competitive research projects.
This is UIC Barcelona's third advertised vacancy for teaching staff this year. We will continue pursuing this practice with the aim of attracting both national and international talent to our teaching faculty and thus increase our scientific productivity and UIC Barcelona's research indicators, which will improve our ranking and prestige.
