Lecturers Oriol Cantó and Raúl Medina publish the book ‘Dando sentido a la prótesis implantológica’

The work, co-authored by Dr Nachum Samet from Harvard University, was conceived as a daily reference book for all dentists specialised in implantology

The book Dando sentido a la prótesis implantológica [Making Sense of Implant Prosthetics] is the result of work by Dr Oriol Cantó and Dr Raúl Medina, lecturers in the International Master’s Degree in Oral Surgery (IMOS) and the University Master’s Degree in Aesthetic Restorative Dentistry (MORE).

According to the authors, “when we wrote this work, we envisioned it as more of a daily reference source than a text book or scientific publication”. The work, published by Quintessence Publishing, presents the various techniques that may be used in each case and the necessary steps, and does so in entertaining fashion. “Created from a clinical perspective, we wanted this book to be able to help all dentists diagnose and treat their patients simply and as predictably as possible”, asserts Dr Cantó.

The authors, who also include Dr Nachum Samet from Harvard University, also created a section on materials which contains a great deal of bibliographic support, helping colleagues stay up to date on new materials in the field of dental rehabilitation and implantology.
