The expert offered a master class to students from the Master’s degree in Cultural Management in order to respond to how art and culture benefit society

The head of Funding and Partnerships at the European Cultural Foundation, Maria Virto, offered a master class to students from the Master’s degree in Cultural Management, where she declared that “democracy requires imagination”.

Virto claimed that promoting cultural activities is necessary for the democratic development of society and global welfare. The expert also clarified that, to achieve cultural international cooperation, being inclusive is required when developing a strategy, as well as keeping in mind that all cultures are different. Therefore, cooperation must include factors such as policies, languages and many other elements.

The European Cultural Foundation was created to stimulate and promote the development and preservation of mutual understanding and democratic solidarity. To achieve this, the foundation promotes cultural and educational activities of common interest.
