Martí Casal, first year Audiovisual Communication student, awarded one of the Catalunya - La Pedrera Foundation’s ‘University Grants’
The Cataluña - La Pedrera Foundation has donated a total of half a million euros to the 500 students who obtained the best marks in their university entrance exams.
The cut-off mark for the 2015-2016 edition was 9.35 out of 10 and the first year Audiovisual Communication student, Martí Casal, is one of the recipients of this recognition of academic excellence.
The ‘University Grants’ programme is a unique initiative in Catalonia, being a programme specifically directed at giving economic support to students beginning their university careers, dependent exclusively on their academic performance. The awarding of the grants relies solely on taking into account the marks the student achieves during the general stage of university entrance exams.
The awards ceremony for ‘University Grants’ was held on 20 February at Món Sant Benet, Sant Fruitós de Bages.
