City Councillor Ms Esther Salat, accompanied her on the visit. The rector of UIC Barcelona, Dr Xavier Gil; dean of the Faculty of Medicine and Health Sciences Dr Albert Balaguer, vice-dean of the Faculty of Dentistry, Dr Marta Satorres and the director of the department of Physiotherapy, Mr Xavier Oliver, were all present. 

The mayor was able to learn at first-hand about the facilities on campus, the two university clinics, the Advanced Comprehensive Simulation Centre (CISA) as well as the master’s and postgraduate courses available, and the projects and research projects undertaken on campus.
