Nuria Vallcorba, one of our Dentistry professors, receives the Santa Apolonia Award from the Spanish General Association of Dentists
The Spanish General Association of Dentists at its General Spanish Dentistry and Stomatology Gala Dinner gave the highest prize that the General Council can award to individuals to Dr Nuria Vallcorba Plana. She is a professor for the Area of Periodontology in the Faculty of Dentistry at UIC Barcelona.
The Santa Apolonia Award recognises the dentists who stand out the most based on their professional trajectory, both in terms of their work and dedication, as well as their contribution to the prestige and development of dentistry throughout their professional life.
Dr. Vallcorba, when giving her thanks for the award, talked about the importance of continuing education for dentistry professionals. Vallcorba is a doctor-stomatologist, holds a PhD in Dentistry from the Complutense University of Madrid, was formerly president of the Spanish Society of Periodontology (SEPA), and is a professor for the Master’s degree in Periodontology at UIC Barcelona as well as Director of the Vallcorba Clinic.
