Online learning courses increased during the 2016-2017 academic year

Two new programmes have joined our traditional Online Postgraduate Degree in Marriage and Family Education (MEF) which has already produced more than 500 graduates. The first graduate class will soon be completing these new programmes, our Postgraduate Degree in Family Coaching and Guidance (blended learning), aimed at coaching and guiding families, and our  Postgraduate Degree in Family Policies, which focuses on the design of state and private policies related to the family in the social field.

Family coaching - also called family guidance - is an activity that is recommended at a professional level by the Council of Europe in various countries in Europe and America.  Through a relationship built on trust and cooperation, family coaching teaches people to achieve protagonism at a personal and family level, as well as prevent and overcome the difficulties involved in every life cycle.

Within the context of a demographic decline, an ageing population and the destabilisation of the pension system, family policies must respond to the growing need for professionals who are capable of designing, analysing and evaluating social policies. Particularly the social policies that directly affect the family in the field of public administration, the third sector and business.
