On 7 November the seminar brought together analysts from the republican and democrat parties over three days, consultants from both candidate’s campaigns, specialised journalists and university professors.

The interventions separated the various aspects of the North-American elections into the following categories:  mechanical, financial, types of vote (Latin, Afro-American, Asian, etc) candidate’s personality, type of campaign and strategies, as well as the potential impact of the result on the rest of the world.  During the election day they visited the voting centres in Washington and the various campaign headquarters of the two parties.
