Carlet delivered two presentations. According to the lecturer, the aim of the main presentation, entitled “Effects of two perceptual training methods on the perception of L2 consonants and vowels”, was to "improve knowledge of phonetic training with English as the target language".

During her intervention, Carlet presented the results of two methods used to improve the English pronunciation of native Spanish and Catalan speakers.

The conference brought together researchers from around the world in order to discuss issues relating to second-language teaching, acquisition, phonetics, phonology and pronunciation.
