Professor Mariana Fuentes recently undertook a research stay at the Interdisciplinary Centre for Research into Mathematical and Experimental Psychology (CIIPME) in Buenos Aires. The aim of the stay was to continue an exchange begun formerly with the research team and to work on the New Researchers project. 

This cooperation took place based on a current analysis of the GRADI group (currently part of the SEI consolidated group) of the results of research undertaken within the framework of the New Researchers project.  Based on this the group created a diagnosis of the oral communicative competences of students taking a Bachelor’s degree in Pre-Primary and Primary Education, in order to subsequently plan intervention to improve these competences, which are key in this profession. 

Among the activities undertaken as part of the exchange a seminar with participation from all the researchers in the Institute stands out.  At this event, Fuentes presented the results of the aforementioned research project on the oral communicative competences of future primary and pre-primary education teachers.
