In November professor Mireia Tintoré participated in the creation of an Educational Leadership Observatory along with other research groups belonging to the Catholic University of Porto (UCP) and the Universitat Autònoma de Barcelona (UAB).  

The aim of this observatory is to add scientific knowledge to practical ideas and improve educational leadership in the Iberian peninsula, promote the positioning of research groups from this region before an international scientific audience, and contribute to the improvement of educational leadership in this geographic area.  

The Observatory will be officially presented during the 10th EDO International Conference which will be held in Barcelona in May 2019 and will also be presented at the III International Seminar on “Education, Territory and Human Development”.  

The idea to set up this Iberian observatory originated from an education research group at the Portuguese university which forms part of the Centro de Investigação para o Desenvolvimento Humano. UIC Barcelona and the UAB also acted as supporting organisations through EDO-UIC and EDO-UAB.
