Public hearing on the accreditation process of the Faculty of Humanities
The Faculty of Humanities is currently immersed in the accreditation processfor the Bachelor's Degree in Humanities and Cultural Studies and the University Master’s Degree in Cultural Management. This process is described in the Framework for the Verification, Monitoring, Modification and Accreditation of official degree programmes (MVSMA) established by the Catalan University Quality Assurance Agency (AQU).
On 17 January, an External Evaluation Committee set up by AQU Catalunya will visit UIC Barcelona and assess the development of the degree programmes in situ.Specifically, the purpose of the accreditation visit is:
- To ensure the quality of the academic programmes on offer, in accordance with the rating system and criteria set out in the current regulations;
- To ensure the existence of valid and reliable information which helps the users of the university system make decisions; and
- To facilitate the internal processes aimed at improving the quality of the programmes and services available at Catalan universities.
In addition to other types of scheduled hearings, there will be a public hearing that may be attended by people interested in expressing their opinion about the master’s degree.
The public hearing will take place on 17 January at 3 p.m. in the Board Room in the Rector's Office.
