Between 19 June and 7 July, eight students from the University of Monterrey (Mexico) undertook a study visit at the Faculty of Dentistry on our Sant Cugat campus, due to an exchange agreement between the two institutions.
Over a period of three weeks, 4th year Dentistry students from the University of Monterrey will attend classes in all the master’s degree programmes which are taught in the Faculty of Dentistry. The idea behind this is for them to learn more about all the specialised programmes taught on our Sant Cugat campus.
Dr Giner, Dean of the Faculty of Dentistry at UIC Barcelona, and Dr Salinas, Dean of the Faculty of Dentistry at the University of Monterrey, who is Director of the Academic Programme and also Director of the Department of Surgical Dentistry, took advantage of the opportunity provided by this study visit to hold a meeting. The objective of their meeting was to strengthen ties between the two universities, since they have now been working together for more than two years, as well as to look at setting up new future agreements.
