Such are the M&A classes at the EY headquarters in Barcelona

Students from both the MUA and M&A postgraduate degree have direct contact with partners from the industry’s Big Four

EY’s main office in Barcelona, located inside the Sarrià Forum Building, does not just provide auditing, consultancy, legal, tax and transaction services. As of this past November, it has also become a classroom for the ten students enrolled in the University Master’s Degree in the Legal Profession (MUA) and the Postgraduate Degree in Corporate Mergers and Acquisitions (M&A).

For one year, these students from the Faculty of Law will prepare to practice law in the fields of corporate mergers, acquisitions and similar in the offices of EY; a 13-storey building with views of the Barcelona skyline, where partners from the Big Four offer a 360º perspective on the legal profession.

The innovative curriculum takes a cross-disciplinary approach to so-called soft skills, which include communication techniques, conflict management, negotiation skills and role playing; areas in which the students will gain hands-on experience.

Each day at the EY headquarters is different, with distinct practical and theoretical approaches, a new subject every day, and all with a unique professional environment and academic programme.
