UIC Barcelona and Birkbeck, University of London join forces to offer a double bachelor’s degree in Business Administration and Marketing
Students from the Faculty of Economic and Social Sciences will complete their studies by spending the second semester of year four and all of year five in London
The rector of the Universitat Internacional de Catalunya (UIC Barcelona), Dr Xavier Gil, and the secretary-general of Birkbeck, University of London, Megan Reeves, have signed an agreement by which students from UIC Barcelona may travel to London and complete the Double Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration and Management and Marketing in five years.
The agreement will enable students from the Faculty of Economic and Social Sciences to complete their studies at one of the colleges from the prestigious University of London. This international double degree provides comprehensive knowledge of organisations, business management and the management of various functional areas, in addition to a specialisation in marketing.
According to the dean of the Faculty of Economic and Social Sciences, Marta Mas, “this double degree enriches, to a large extent, the skill set today’s companies require”. Mas also points out that this double degree “gives access to a wide range of job opportunities that are currently in high demand, such as marketing, digital marketing and analytics, among others”.
This double degree its part of the commitment to internalisation of the Faculty of Economic and Social Sciences at UIC Barcelona, which has been offering an English track for over 10 years. In particular, this new programme further increases the selection of double degrees offered by the Faculty, in addition to Business Administration and BSc in Financial Economics and Business Administration and BSc in Economics, both of which are taught with the prestigious Birkbeck, University of London.
