UIC Barcelona and City University of London encourage training in the field of the economic evaluation of medicines, in partnership with Celgene

This is the third edition of the Economic Evaluation of medicines and health technologies seminar

UIC Barcelona and the City University of London have decided to set up professional training for people working in the field of public sector healthcare on the economic evaluation of medicines.  They received support from the biopharmaceutical company Celgene in order to do so.

Both universities have pooled their experience in order to set up the Economic Evaluation of medicines and health technologies seminar.  The main cornerstone of the programme, presented by Dr Marta Trapero-Bertran, a researcher and director of the Research Institute for Evaluation and Public Policies (IRAPP) at UIC Barcelona, is to teach scientific and educational content to professionals who are involved in decision-making in the state healthcare system.

The third edition of this seminar was held on our Barcelona campus on 12, 13 and 14 December.  The first two editions were held in London, at the City University of London.
