UIC Barcelona and EAC in Paris unite to offer two double degrees in Cultural Management

By adding just one more year, students taking the University Master’s Degree in Cultural Management at UIC Barcelona will be able to undertake a second Master’s degree to become an Art Market Manager in Paris.

UIC Barcelona students will be able to obtain a double degree in cultural and art market management in two years due to the agreement signed with the École d’Arts de Culture (EAC) in Paris.

The agreement will allow UIC Barcelona University Master’s Degree in Cultural Management students to complete their studies and achieve a qualification as an Art Market Manager in Paris (a total of two academic years).  For that reason, UIC Barcelona students, once they have obtained their Master’s degree, will travel to Paris where they will take the second year of their Master’s degree entirely in English and will also have the opportunity to undertake work experience in the French capital.

Likewise, EAC students from Paris who are interested in studying at UIC Barcelona, will be able to apply for access to the University Master’s Degree in Cultural Management as part of the agreement between the two institutions.  In that way they will also obtain a double degree.

Thanks to this agreement, the price of tuition fees at the EAC in Paris for UIC Barcelona students will be reduced (37% in the case of the Master’s degree).  Students from the Parisian institution who would like to continue their studies in the Catalan university will also receive a discount on the total cost of their tuition fees.

In the words of Marta Crispí, director of the UIC Barcelona Master’s degree “through this new double degree, the University Master’s Degree in Cultural Management will strengthen its international ties even more and allow students the opportunity to broaden their academic experience”.

This new double degree is now added to the agreement already put in place with Boston University in 2017. This means it has become the first master’s degree that offers two double degrees of this type in conjunction with a foreign university.
