The dean of the Faculty of Education at UIC Barcelona, Esther Jiménez, took part in the forum “Educating for the 21st century: Challenges and proposals for the teaching profession” which took place on 6 November at the Círculo de Bellas Artes in Madrid. 

During the forum organised by the Ministry of Education and Vocational Training, a number of initiatives on teacher access, induction and training were presented. The Spanish government showed its commitment to these issues by opening up a reflection process to come up with proposals to aid decision-making “on the needs of and reforms required by the teaching profession in the future”.
