UIC Barcelona presents two new degrees at this year’s edition of the Saló de l’Ensenyament: Psychology and Biomedicine

The Universitat Internacional de Catalunya (UIC Barcelona) will present two new degrees on Wednesday 14 March at the Saló de l’Ensenyament (University Fair):  Psychology and Biomedicine (Biomedical Sciences) *

Alongside these two degrees, the rest of the 14 officially recognised degrees and 12 international double degrees that the university currently offers will also be presented.  Among these, the Double Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration and Management + Engineering and Industrial Management with the Polytechnic University of Turin, and the Double Bachelor's Degree in Architecture with the University of Belgrano (Buenos Aires) and double degrees in the faculties of Humanities, Communication Sciences and Law with Iona College New York all stand out. Another new agreement that should be highlighted is one that our university has signed with the University of California (UCLA) via which Communication, Business and Architecture students will be able to participate in a certificate program, involving various areas of specialisation.  www.uic.es/estudis

This year for the first time the design for our university stand was chosen based on a competition held between lecturers in the School of Architecture.

Talk about the Bachelor’s degree in Bioengineering.

For young people who would like to know more about what Bioengineering is, UIC Barcelona will offer the following talk: “Discover the new degree in Bioengineering, the only of its kind in Spain”, by Román Pérez, a professor and scientific coordinator for the Bachelor’s degree in Bioengineering. The event will take place on Saturday 17 March at 12 noon in the conference room at the Saló de l’Ensenyament, and will help young people to discover one of the professions that is currently in the most demand, with great potential for growth.

Sports and health activities at the Saló

As part of the Saló, the university has organised various activities related to sports and health. These include the Gold Sprint competition: a competition in pairs on two static bicycles with a screen. The aim is to beat your adversary and cover 300 metres in as little time as possible. The test will last for 30 seconds and the winner will receive a prize. The competition can be undertaken either in Plaza Universo or at the university’s own stand. In Plaza Universo you will also be able to compete in the All Star competition (basketball) and in the workshop on proprioception, taping and manual therapy.
