The UIC Barcelona School of Architecture hosts the Autumn Open House
On Saturday 12 November, as it does every year, the UIC Barcelona School of Architecture opened its doors to students, family members and future students to show them the school and the work done by students from years one to five.
The event began with a welcome address for all attendees by the director of the UIC Barcelona School of Architecture, Dr Josep Lluis i Ginovart, who gave a brief overview of the School and talked about the centre's core values. Next, lecturers Iñaki Baquero, Jaime Battle and Eva Damiá presented the 2016 Vertical Workshop, #SuperillaPilot, and showed the videos created as part of the workshop report.
Attendees were then treated to a guided tour of the School's facilities and an exhibition featuring work carried out by students from each year as part of the subject Projects. One by one, the spokespeople for each year explained their proposals to the audience.
The event ended with refreshments in the Aula Jardí and a rock concert courtesy of UIC Barcelona School of Architecture students Carles Raiteri i Boira and Marcos Puig Fernandez-Tubau.
This Open House was the first of three such events to be organised over the course of the academic year: the second Open House will take place on 28 January and will specifically target students interested in taking part in the Bachelor's Degree in Architecture next year.
