Frederic Marimon, Marta Mas and Jasmina Berbega, Professors from the Faculty of Economic and Social Sciences participated in the ICQEM conference which took place between 13 and 15 July in the University of Minho, in Guimaraes (Portugal).
The three professors jointly gave a talk entitled “The impact of the lecturer’s experience on student’s satisfaction”.
Marimon was also a member of the Scientific Committee and a co-organiser of the conference. The professor presented three papers with professors from other universities. Specifically, these were: “The evolution of intensity certification in ISO 9001 and ISO 14001: a comparative analysis by countries”; “Assessing Quality Tools Use in the Wind Power Sector” and finally “EQUASS Assurance Certification: The View of Pioneer Adopters”. This final paper won a prize for best paper of the conference.
The conference combined Engineering and Quality Management, two areas which are not generally combined. The ICQEM is one of the most important scientific events in this field. At the end of the conference a presentation was given on the next edition, which will be held at UIC Barcelona in 2018.
