The Economic Evaluation of Medication and Healthcare Technology seminar offers the opportunity to understand how economic evaluation has to be a criterion in decision-making in the daily life of healthcare professionals.  

The programme is taught in person and the objectives are. 

a) To add to general knowledge, the basic and fundamental aspects of the techniques and tools for economic evaluation of medications and medical technologies.

b) To provide an international perspective of the use of economic evaluation to inform healthcare decisions. 

This took place on the 18 and 25 of March at the Hospital de Granollers.

Description: The objective of this course is to teach the participants the basics of clinical and economic evaluation, the challenges that exist today and those that will exist in the future in terms of social health care. Also the principles of health technology assessment and economic assessment in decision-making and, finally, problems related to difficult access to health care.
