The UIC Barcelona library has a collection of more than 30,000 volumes and a large number of online resources. The books are ordered using the Universal Decimal Classification. Architectural books and magazines are on the ground floor of the library, located in the “beta” building of Campus Barcelona
Monographic books on architecture have been classified according to the following topics: Architecture, Urban Planning, Construction, Building Regulations, History of Architecture, Architects, Biodigital Architecture, Drawing and Design, Sustainability and Awards.
The library also has a wide range of specialist journals on national and international architecture, both in hard copy (not available for borrowing) and online, which include: 2G, Arquitectura Viva, A+T, A+U, Croquis, Detail, Pasajes, Quaderns, TC Cuadernos, Tectónica, The Architectural Review, etc.
To search for bibliographies and documents there is online access to the library’s catalogue, and other electronic resources such as the Digital Library/Article Search and access tospecialist databases.
Opening hours
Monday to Friday, from 08.30 to 21.00
Saturdays, Sundays, and midweek bank holidays (from October to July), from 09.00 to 21.00
The library offers individual and group sessions in order to get to know the services and digital resources available. These sessions are aimed at all members of the university community, including students and academic and administrative staff, and are available throughout the academic year; to sign up, all you have to do is send an email to biblioteca@uic.es
