Introduction
The oral surgery session is a session where the students will present the cases that after will be treated in the CUO. The topics to be discussed will be: oral pathology, dental inclusions, preprothesic surgery, ... In this session the possible treatment plan for the different cases and the definitive treatment plan acorded for each patient will be discussed between students and tutors.
Pre-course requirements
The students will have to have the dentistry graduate
Objectives
Offer to the students a solid criterion regarding the diagnose, treatment and resolution of the complications of the diverse pathologies that can be found in the oral cavity before acting on the patient. it is important that the student knows the diferent treatment options for the problem presented, and that has the knowledge to decide, according to scientific evidence, which is the best option for each patient.

Preparation and documentation of a clinical case regarding:

Maxillary cysts
Oral mucosa pathoiogy
Preprothesic surgery
Pediatric Surgery
Surgery-orthodontics (corticotomies)
Differential diagnosis reasoned and documented treatment plans

Ability to critically analyze cases and treatments presented by other partners

Syllabus
Discussion and preparation of the cases that the students will have to treat after in the CUO.
Teaching and learning activities
In person
2 hours session to present and discuss the cases using the template provided by the department. In the presentation the general medical status of the patient evaluatedd, as the facial and occlusion analysis. Also the possible TMJ disorders. The student will have to prepare all the intaoral photographs , radiographs ( OPG , periapical , CBCTs , ) and purpose an ideal treatment plan , which will be submitted to the debate.

Continuous assessment of the student in terms of:
Number of cases presented and defended during the course
Quality of presentations
Quality of bibliographic documentation provided
Ability to defend the proposed treatment plan
