It is important to get a deal of trust and collaboration with faculty, positive attitude and ability to work in teams, promote the importance of pediatric dentistry care, proper attitude to child patients to try and acquire professional ethics for the practice of this specialty .
On the other hand, we obtain the knowledge necessary to diagnose and propose a plan of treatment and preventive dentistry plan; Learn the techniques of conservative and surgical dental therapy in pediatric patients; Learn the techniques of handling child's behavior in the consultation; Know the principles governing the administration of drugs in pediatric dentistry, and indications and method of use; Knowing how to react to emergencies that may occur in pediatric patients, and how to act before the rest of situations that may occur in pediatric patients.
Pre-course requirements
Have passed the theoretical seminar I.
Objectives
It is widely accepted that the oral health of infants, children and adolescents affects the overall health of the child population and in the future, in the adult population. Therefore, it is important that there are dentists prepared to prevent and solve the most common oral problems of the pediatric population.
The objective of this course is that students obtain advanced knowledge required for proper diagnosis and counseling of child terapética patient.
