Introduction

In Bioethics I think on the value of human life and dignity as a principle basis for medical ethics, that is, for decision-making that involves mutual respect and responsibility in the doctor-patient relationship. In ethical theory based on principles the person is not something that remains at an abstract level, formal or inconsequential; on the contrary, becomes in daily medical practice problem solving that incorporates the knowledge from different disciplines both scientific and moral.

The development of medicine, science and new laws put in front us many new situations demanding answers for approval or rejection, and a theoretical justification that is difficult to propose in a pluralistic world whose interests are not always well identified.

We can't find in this discipline a list of rules on what to do or what not do in situations more or less definite.  Looking to provide the student an open mind to principles and values that remain unchanged despite scientific and technical progress.
