    La Asociación Española de la Fundación Europea (AEFE) organiza, proyecta y lleva a cabo actividades y manifestaciones públicas o privadas con el objetivo de contribuir a una mayor cercanía e integración de todos los pueblos, culturas y etnias de Europa; fomentando el intercambio y el conocimiento mutuo entre éstos, sus culturas y costumbres promoviendo el europeísmo como valor supranacional. La AEFE organiza actos, actividades y programas con la intervención de destacadas personalidades nacionales e internacionales vinculadas a las artes, las ciencias y las letras. Anualmente celebra una Gala en la que se entregan las distinciones que marca su reglamento de honores y esta es la que ha tenido lugar en el Hotel Juan Carlos I en Barcelona., 2014
