Education
Enric Garcia Restoy has a Degree in Medicine and Surgery from the Universitat Autònoma de Barcelona (1983). He specialized in Internal Medicine at the Consorci Sanitari de Terrassa (1985-1990). He holds a Master Degree in Clinical Gerontology from the Universitat Autònoma de Barcelona (2001), a Master Degree in Management of Healthcare Institutions from the Universitat Autònoma de Barcelona (2009), and a postgraduate Diploma in Specialized Healthcare for Elder Pluripathological Patients from the Universitat Autònoma de Barcelona (2010). He also holds a PhD Degree in Medicine from the Universitat de Barcelona (1997).
Professional experience
Enric is an Associate Professor at the Universitat Internacional de Catalunya. He has more than 10 years of undergraduate and postgraduate teaching experience. He has been president of the Committee on Ethics in Research with Medicines of the Consorci Sanitari de Terrassa since 2006. He works as an Internist Medical Doctor at the Hospital de Terrassa, where he was Head of the Department of Internal Medicine from 2011 to 2020 and Coordinator of the Acute Geriatrics Unit from 2007 to 2020.
