University Ombudsman

The University Ombudsman’s Office at UIC Barcelona was created to ensure respect for the rights and liberties of all members of the university community (students, teaching staff and administration and services staff) before the University’s various governing bodies and services.

The actions of the University Ombudsman are always aimed at improving the quality of all areas of the university and are governed by the principles of independence and autonomy.

The University Ombudsman acts on its own motion or at a party’s request when alerted to a rights violation. Its actions are not bound by any instructions or binding mandate from any academic authority or governing body.

Once the compliant or request for mediation has been declared admissible, the University Ombudsman will take actions to settle the conflict in question.
