For another year running, the Department of Nursing at the Faculty of Medicine and Health Sciences has organised Health Promotion Day, under the tagline “What happens when you go too far?”

Aimed at students in their 3rd and 4th years of Secondary Education and vocational training programmes in schools throughout Catalonia, Health Promotion Day offers a number of practical and visual workshops. Participants are placed in a hypothetical but realistic scenario in which they can learn to face the most common challenges that may occur in their daily lives.

With support from the Medical Emergency Service and students on the Nursing degree, this year’s workshops will focus on the effects of alcohol and drug use, bullying and abuse, as well as cardiopulmonary resuscitation, simulations, and social media. This year, for the first time, there will also be a workshop on mental health.
