2021 Entrepreneurship Series. “How to fund your project”
On 19 October, from 6.30 to 8 p.m., the fourth session of the 2021 UIC Barcelona Entrepreneurship Series 2021 will take place online, organised jointly by the Department of Alumni & Careers and the Vice-Rectorate for Research, Innovation and Knowledge Transfer.
Entitled “How to fund your project”, the session will cover the different funding options available for a new business depending on the stage it is at.
Starting off with the famous “FFF” (friends, fools and family) to other forms of seed capital, such as business angels for the pre-incubation and incubation phases, to the IPO (initial public offering), to venture capital and private equity, typical early stage and later round tools: third and later stage.
During the event, speakers and high-level experts will describe the characteristics of each round, the advantages and limitations for the entrepreneur and the key points to be taken into account when raising capital, such as the famous elevator pitch. They will also address issues related to the financial risks associated with the different stages of a start-up's life,
This fourth session is aimed at the entire university community (students, graduates, lecturers and professors and administration and service staff) who are eager to start a business initiative or join one that has already started up.
