To commemorate the 100th anniversary of the death of August Font (1845-1924), the Faculty of Humanities of UIC Barcelona and AADIPA are organising a conference to remember his life and work.

Font was a prolific Barcelona architect with such outstanding works as the façade and dome of Barcelona Cathedral, Plaça de Toros Les Arenes, Palau de les Heures, Palau de Bellas Arts (demolished), Can Ponsich and many houses for prominent families of the city. He also played a fundamental role in teaching generations of architects as one of the first professors of the School of Architecture of Barcelona, always with his great friend and mentor Elias Rogent.
