4th TV Fiction Symposium

Facultat de Ciències de la Comunicació

Horror in TV series

For the past three years, the Faculty of Communication Science at UIC Barcelona has been organising the Television Fiction Symposium which is aimed at everyone who is passionate about TV series. This symposium focuses on TV series and aims to bring together well-known professionals from the sector such as academics, script-writers and TV reviewers, amongst others, who hold debates on the past, present and future of this genre.

The fourth edition which will be held this year focuses on the horror genre.  You only need to take a quick look at the most recent series to realise that this genre is on the increase and has grown and matured along with TV fiction overall in this third golden age. True Detective, Hannibal, Dexter and American Horror Story are only some of the TV series that are being broadcast around the world on TV, during this symposium you will find out why.
