Barcelona Ceramics Chair final panel session

School of Architecture de UIC Barcelona - Immaculada 22, Barcelona

The final panel session for the 13th edition of the course Barcelona Ceramics Chair is scheduled to take place on Friday 2 December. The panel, which evaluates the students' projects, includes architects Rafael de la Hoz (Rafael de la Hoz Arquitectos) and Alberto Peñín (Peñín Arquitectos), designer Nani Marquina (Director of FAD), ceramist Fidel Ferrando (R&D Department at Gres Aragón) and Ana Martínez (Communications Manager at ASCER).

The Ceramics Chair is an elective subject that has been taught at the UIC Barcelona School of Architecture since the 2004-2005 academic year. It is part of the School's Department of Architectural Constructions and is directed by architect Vicenç Sarrabo (PhD), alongside architects and lecturers Cristina Garcia-Castelao and Jordi Roviras, who are in charge of coordination.

Chairs are a meeting point between universities and companies and help establish a two-way exchange process that brings students into contact with the industrial world. This enables them to acquire knowledge about the ceramics products currently available on the market and provide their innovative view, reflect on and investigate new possibilities for this material and its use in architecture.

Place: UIC Barcelona School of Architecture, Aula Jardí
Date and time: Friday 2 December, at 4 p.m.
Open to the public
