The exhibition “Pompeu Fabra: A Complete Language”, created by the Directorate-General for Language Policy, marks the beginning of the events held by UIC Barcelona to celebrate Pompeu Fabra Year, which commemorates the 150th anniversary of the birth of the author who set the orthographic, grammatical and lexical rules for contemporary Catalan. The exhibition explores Fabra’s contribution to the Catalan language, the social impact of his figure and work throughout Catalonia and the impetus his work gave to Catalan.
