The future (and present) of cryptocurrencies and money
On Tuesday 25 January at 5 p.m., the Saló de Graus room will host the first of a series of lectures on blockchain organised by UIC Barcelona. Titled “The Future (and present) of cryptocurrencies and money”, this session will introduce the concepts of blockchain and cryptocurrency from three separate but complementary perspectives: academic, investor and professional.
Speakers will answer some of the most frequently asked questions on these subjects, such as, what are cryptocurrencies? Is it money? Why are there so many? What is blockchain technology? Why is it so disruptive? These and many other questions will be answered during the round table.
Participants:
- Pablo Agnese, lecturer from the Faculty of Economic and Social Sciences at UIC Barcelona
- David Levy, CEO of DiverInvest
- Álex Fernández, CEO of BitBase
Moderated by: Laura Rubio, UIC Barcelona
The lecture will take place in person, health and safety restrictions permitting.
