Next Thursday 24 November, at 11.30 p.m., there will be an information session on the new course Construction in Wood, an intensive course about current wood construction systems. The course has been organised by engineer David Rifà, a specialist in wooden structures, and Marta García-Orte, architect and lecturer at the UIC Barcelona School of Architecture.

The aim is, by analysing real cases, to provide students practical information about the possibilities of building with wood, the different types and systems and the manufacturing process.

The course is open to UIC Barcelona School of Architecture students from years three through five and architecture students from other universities. During this the first edition, class will be held every afternoon from 18-24 January 2017.
