On Thursday 29 September, UIC Barcelona's School of Architecture will host the conference "On the Biological and Digital Aspects of Architecture". This international conference on new technologies and innovation will be held as part of the 2016 Architecture Congress.

The event aims to present different points of view on the breakthroughs and innovations related to the biological and digital aspects of the architecture of new technologies. It also aspires to show how such aspects open the way for architects to pursue their profession.

The morning session will feature a welcome address by Josep Lluís i Ginovart, director of UIC Barcelona's School of Architecture, as well as 8 papers by a number of international speakers: Nishant Kansagra (India), Jordi Rábago (Mexico), Mehtap Altuğ (Turkey), Jamil Mansour (Lebanon), Ingrid Stokke Solvik (Norway), Saqib Fazal (Kenya), Stefan Rademeyer (South Africa) and Tony Guedes (Brazil).

The afternoon programme will include 5 presentations by Alberto T. Estévez, Ana Cocho-Bermejo, Diego Navarro, Dennis Dollens and Affonso Orciuoli.
